Our Story: The Birth of Kamkam childrens foundation
This organization was founded by Mzee Kamkam in Bugiri, driven by a deep compassion for children living on the streets. From its inception, Mzee Kamkam’s mission was clear: to provide vulnerable children with a safe home, nutritious meals, education, and the love and support they need to thrive.
What began as a personal initiative to help children off the streets and into homes soon grew into a formal organization, with programs extending to housing, feeding, education, counseling, and skills training. As the organization gained recognition, the scope of support widened to include other vulnerable groups, creating lasting impact within the community.
Mzee Kamkam’s dedication and vision have inspired countless community members, volunteers, and partners to join the cause. His unwavering commitment to ensuring that every child has a safe, nurturing environment, access to education, and opportunities for self-reliance remains the cornerstone of our foundation.

Our education program enables underprivileged children(street children & orphans) to go and stay in school so that they can transform their lives and achieve their dreams.
Agriculture program
Our agricultural program enhances food access, promotes self-sustainability, and reduces vulnerability by introducing modern farming practices such as sack gardening to the communities around us. It also provides children with hands-on agricultural skills, strengthening their connection to farming, the backbone of Uganda’s economy.
livelihood program
Our livelihood program equips children with practical skills and knowledge to build self-reliance, skills that foster independence, confidence, and future opportunities. and brighter futures.
Hygiene program
The objective of our hygiene program is to increase access to clean water as well as sanitation and hygiene services in the most vulnerable communities.
Housing program
Our Housing Program provides safe, stable, and nurturing shelter for street children and orphans, offering them a secure place to grow and rebuild their lives. Beyond accommodation, the program ensures access to basic needs, emotional support, education, and life-skills development, creating an environment where every child can heal, thrive, and envision a hopeful future.
Feeding program
Our Feeding Program provides nutritious, consistent meals to street children and orphans, ensuring they have the strength and health needed to learn, grow, and thrive. By addressing hunger and malnutrition, the program creates stability, restores dignity, and supports each child’s journey toward a healthier, more hopeful future.
